Still waiting for bone marrow result. Still waiting for admission date. Still got neutrophils and white blood cell counts falling. eek! Am very anxious about this - but doctors at the day unit telling me not to worry. Hmmm. Easy for them to say. Fast regeneration (which panicked me) and now counts seems to be reversing almost at the same speed (which panics me more). Well, at least I am starting to eat more, and putting on a bit of weight. Feeling better, but tired quickly and still struggling with aching joints - walking up and down Taymount Rise is quite a challenge these days - specially with a bag full from Sainsburys. Got to invest in trolley with wheels. Light grey rain falling over Forest Hill this early saturday morning. I guess it may be like this all weekend. Sunshine and 28 degrees in Roma. sounds good. Hot yellow zucchini flowers still bursting forth in garden, morning glory in abundance, agapanthus, lavender, sweet peas and punk-pink geraniums still all hanging in there and looking good. Football match this pm (Utd playing at Goodison Park - and I know there are some utd fans reading this...) - and a scrabble party too...
A presto tutti...
Hi Tessa
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice but blowy Saturday morning here in Whitstable. Second week back and it's OK. Nice to see David, Tilly, Alix, Binky, etc. Kellie is still in Cor Phew on holiday – back middle of next week I think. David, Nicolas and I walked around the MA Interactive Media show. There was one on first aid which we got Nicolas to scramble around on the floor with the doll he should have been resuscitating. Talk of your garden and its produce such as sweet peas got me thinking about the top ten double entendres from Master Chef. Number one is John Torode saying 'I wanted to taste the pea...I just couldn't taste the pea' and Greg Wallace saying in his gruff voice, 'her Creme Brule was all sloppy'. Here's the link:

ReplyDeleteThe sun is shining in our neck of the woods now. washing on line blowing. Well Tony is a half full glass kind of guy! Work i would not say is OK more shit! But then my glass is overflowing. Sian and i popped to the maps exhibition at BL (as you inspired us to go)and then onto the Skin one at the Wellcome.
Fingers crossed for a date soon so you don't have to wait around too long. We miss your bright personality around LCC, come back soon.

Not sure if you're back in or not. I know one of your earlier posts had mentioned going in on the 13th, but later ones weren't sure. I hope you're feeling well, and that this round goes smoothly. Will wait to hear more details.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your last email. It's nice to have someone so supportive as a friend!
