biopsy time

Have a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow, Monday - and back into Guys for Round 3 of chemo on Monday 13th. Everything crossed that bone marrow result is good and that I am still in remission. Tenderhook time... Life is turning slowly and feeling more normal everyday - though still get tired easily and lots of aching bones. Luigi and I went to British Library to see the Magnificent Maps exhibition - wonderful giant wood cut map of Venice...looking forward to getting back there some point soon - tramping through the narrow streets, riding on the vaporettas and watching that big wide sky over the lagoon. Have made several visits to the studio and may start on some work later in the week. Boring old blog, but better than having to write about infections and bleeping machines and chemo cocktails - that will all be on the menu too soon anyway. Hope everyone well - september: back to work/college/school...

  1. glad you got to the maps exhibition. it's been on my 'to do' list all summer and i still haven't managed it. back to college last week - still very quiet (too quiet?). barbara and i shared a few sunny lunchtimes outside, but not sure for how much longer. inspired by yours, i started my own blog over the summer (mainly for my vancouver visit). http://nostar.blog2.idnet.com

  2. All the best with the biopsy tomorrow. I''ll keep fingers crossed for you.

We're just back from our Labor Day Block party. All the street and a couple of neighboring ones turned out for a grilling/eating/drinking/visiting good time. I had fun hula hooping, playing ping pong on the street, and visiting. It's a nice tradition with lovely people. I've been painted on (with face paints) by a two year old, and am off to rinse before bedtime!

Much love to you from the Great Lakes!

  5. Hi T

Hope it was ok with the bone marrow biopsy yesterday and not too traumatic. I've still got that cold, so a visit to you is probably not a good idea at the moment but hope to see you before you have to go back into Guys for round 3. Don't forget to ask for help for anything you need whilst Luigi is away, anything at all, even if it's just malt loaf.

    Jan xx
